Dr. Duke's pre-med bachelor’s degree is nutritional counseling. Her doctorate degree is
chiropractic from Life University. She later received certification as a sports physician through
Palmer Chiropractic College. She has completed specific training in pediatrics and physical handicaps,
as well as cutting-edge coursework with nutrition groups such as Standard Process,
Biotics,

Dr. Duke’s younger brother was born with cerebral palsy and hard of hearing, so she was
heavily involved with handicapped individuals from a young age. Consequently, she has worked with The Easter Seals as a volunteer and as a paid counselor. She is also a
certified instructor for The American Red Cross.
She is a member of the
Florida Chiropractic Association and the American Chiropractic Association.
She is also the local facilitator of the Christian Chiropractors Association,
which hosts a free clinic for the City Rescue Mission homeless shelter.
For the last eight years, Dr. Duke has been on the
Jacksonville Mayor’s
Council for Fitness and Well Being. This is a group of approximately 20 health care professionals who gather monthly to review policies and create programs to
promote improved health to the citizens of Jacksonville. Currently, they are seeking to award Jacksonville as a “Let’s Move” city. This is an initiative created by Michelle Obama to encourage cities to better address the health of
their communities. Dr. Duke’s assignment focuses on the availability of healthy food choices and nutritional education.
Dr. Ellan Duke is a public speaker and an author. Her most recent publication is Amazon’s
